Library Services Librarian: Part Time

 

Description/Responsibilities:
The Brownsburg Public Library is seeking candidates for a part-time (22.5 hours/week) Librarian position. Join our Library Services team dedicated to providing quality service to all patrons and coworkers.

Main duties for this position are:

• Cataloging physical and digital items

• Assisting patrons with local history and genealogy resources

• Maintenance, minimal development, and promotion of our Local History circulating and closed shelf collections and digital collections; Knowledge of ContentDM is a plus!

• Providing excellent service while assisting patrons in reference and computer lab questions at our adult and children’s desks.

• Creating and presenting history/genealogy programming.

 

Our entire Library Services team also assists in displays, group programming, community event outreach and continuous improvement of patron and staff experiences. Hours will include one desk night per week and a weekend rotation.

 

Qualifications:
MLS from an ALA accredited library or working towards MLS required; Librarian Certification 3 required; Library experience preferred.

$18.89/hour plus paid time off​
