Library Services Librarian: Part Time

 

Description/Responsibilities:
The Brownsburg Public Library is seeking candidates for a part-time (22.5 hours/week) Librarian position. Our Library Services team is heading into our busiest season and we’re looking for someone interested in the experience of a busy library where there’s always something to do and an enjoyable group of coworkers to work with! If you are detail-oriented, have experience in cataloging MARC records, and enjoy teamwork, we’d really love to talk with you!

 

Main duties for this position are:

• Cataloging physical and digital items

• Providing excellent service while assisting patrons in reference and computer lab questions at our adult and children’s desks.

 

Our entire Library Services team also assists in displays, group programming, community event outreach and continuous improvement of patron and staff experiences. Hours will include one desk night per week and a weekend rotation.

 

Qualifications:
MLS from an ALA accredited library or working towards MLS required; Librarian Certification 3 required; Library experience preferred.

 

Salary:
$18.89/hour plus paid time off
